Torsten Heinemann is a sociologist. He studied Sociology, Political Sciences and Psychology in Frankfurt. His research interest is in Social Theory, Critical Theory, Philosophy of Science, History of Science, Sociology of Knowledge and Cultural Sociology. He was visiting scholar at Columbia University and New York University, New York. Currently he is research fellow in the project "DNA and Immigration" (IMMIGENE) at the Goethe-University, Frankfurt.
