Torsten Heinemann studied sociology, political sciences and psychology. His research interest is in the sociology of scientific knowledge,
philosophy of science, history of science, cultural sociology as well as social and critical theory. He is especially interested in the history
and the recent developemts in neuroscience and biomedical research and it's social and political implications.
He was visiting scholar at
Columbia University and
New York University, New York and a scholar of the
German National Academic Foundation. Currently, he is a postdoctoral research fellow in the project
"DNA and Immigration" (IMMIGENE) at the Goethe-University, Frankfurt.
